Selling Our House!

Zach and I have decided to put our house on the market. We thought about this for a while and decided to give it a try to see what happens.

If you know of anyone looking for a 3 bedroom/2 bath house outside of Jackson in a quiet/ kid friendly neighborhood. Send them our way... PLEASE!

We know where we want our new home to be and are eager to get there. We love our home and have enjoyed the 3 years we have been here.

Here is a website to check it out:

Dragon Boat 2011

May 14th.... Dragon Boat 2011!

What a day!!!

Where do I even begin?!?!?! Well I guess I will start with... I was captain! Yes, me! I was the Baptist Bandits Captain! I was in charge of getting the team together, scheduling practices, making sure who was on the boat, getting the paddle decorated and so on...

It was a lot of hard work but this awesome team was worth it!

We had practices every Tuesday and Thursday starting with the first Tuesday in April going all the way up to the race. We would sit by the pool at the Healtplex with paddles in hand and row until all of our lunch breaks were up. This team definitely put in the time and effort! Very proud of the Bandits.

My week started off by getting the paddle decorated. On Thursday before the event we attended the annual Paddler's Party at the Jackson Yacht Club. All the teams decorated a paddle to be voted on. I must say ours was pretty awesome!!! But Being at the Yacht Club... of course they were going to win.

Me and Zach at the Paddler's Party.

Friday night I had to go to the Captain's Meeting at the Viking Cooking School. This was a challenge in its self! I was not able to eat any of the delicious looking pulled pork, roasted potatoes, or that YUMMY looking dessert... whatever it might had been. Will discuss the reason why I was unable to eat the food in another blog. Any who... back to the meeting... We discussed all the rules, how the weather was going to be perfect, and all the other ends and outs about the BIG day.

Saturday.... Zach and I got up bright and early, did our AM cardio, loaded the Jeep with all the coolers and headed to the REZ. It was very chilly that morning, 59 degrees to be exact. We checked our phones for the weather and all day it was suppose to be sunny and in the upper 70's. WRONG!!!! It was freezing! My body ached the next day from shivering not from rowing.

Enough about the weather... On to the races.
The first race was on of the most important races. This race determine what division we would be in for the rest of the day. Of course, we wanted to be in Division A... and that's just where we landed. Not only did we beat our first race, we beat all the other Hospitals! They put all the hospitals in the same race and called it "The race of the day." Baptist Bandits have another year of bragging rights!!!!

After lunch we raced in our 2nd race. We won it! We are in the FINALS!!! WHOO=HOO!!!! Another year in the finals! Could this be a 3peat??? Could we be bringing home a trophy for the 3rd year in a row???

Well... Not so much! We came in 5th. Zach and I were very sore losers that day. Basically sat in silence the entire 30 mins from the Rez to our house. BUT... I got over it and am still very proud of the Bandits. 5th place is a lot better than 30th, and at least we were on of the top 5 teams!!! We will get that trophy back next year.

Here are some more pics from the day...

In the end... It was still a fun day despite the freezing weather. So thankful we came in 5th and even more thankful for my wonderful family for coming out to support us in the cold! Maybe next year the weather will be warmer and the trophy will be back in our hands!

SAVE THE DATE= MAY 19, 2012!!!!!

PADDLES UP!!!!
