21 Weeks!!!

Yep, another week is here!!! Really can not believe how fast this is going!

(Please excuse the way I look... I just got home from work. Taught 4 classes today so I am looking pretty rough!!!)

*21 weeks
*Knox is the length of a carrot
*taught 10 classes this week
*energy has been better this week... thank goodness!!!
*sleep was pretty good this week
*craving fruit, vegetables and dark chocolate
(I have wanted some dark chocolate every day but have yet to get any, maybe I'll get some this weekend)
*appetite is good!
*have had some pains this week but the nurse assures me that it is normal and just to take Tylenol and soak in a warm bath
*love feeling Knox move around
*next appointment is February 5th.

I have noticed that the week before my next appointment, I start getting very anxious, nervous, worried and everything else you can think of. I just pray that everything is okay and little Knox is growing into a strong, healthy boy!

Oh and just an F.Y.I.....
One thing NOT to say to a pregnant girl....

"You aren't showing much because you have big hips and you are just carrying your baby lower in your hips."

Yes, that was said to me today.

But... all of those who keep telling me how great I look and that I am glowing...

I REALLY, REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!

Hope you all have a great week!!!

20 weeks!!! :)

I just can't believe we are at the half way mark! Time has seriously flown by.

*20 weeks
*Knox is the length of a banana
*taught 8 classes this week
*energy has been very low! I am still waiting for the second trimester energy burst to come!!
*feet are hurting non-stop
*sleep was pretty good this week
*craving fruit, fresh farm eggs, kale! (so excited to be able to eat this again!) and milk
*appetite is pretty much back, still working on eating left overs
*still sailing smoothly
*Zach got to feel Knox Sunday. it was very subtle but an awesome experience!!!

Everyone that knows me and Zach knows that we love to work out! We saw this super cute dumbbell rattle on a T.V. show and Zach immediately had to order one!

How flippin' cute!!!
I can't wait for Knox to be able to play with it. It says 3+ month on the package but I know Knox will be super strong and can hold it before then! (At least I hope!) Zach is on the search for a kids barbell set (plastic of course). We have yet to find one but we will have a few years before Knox can actually play with it.

I go to the doctor for my next check up on Feb. 5th. Anxious and ready to hear that sweet heart beat!!!

19 Weeks!

Well, I slacked a little this week. I never got around to taking a picture with my board.

Please forgive me!

So, why didn't I take a pic?!?!?

I just never got around to it. The weather has been absolutely draining and Zach and I had to do something everyday when we got off. By the time I got home (after teaching what felt like a million classes and running errands) all I wanted to do was lay down. But.... I am very thankful to still be able to do everything I have been doing!

I do have a few pics for you... totally nothing to do with Knox but about the crazy weather we had on Thursday!

So it literally rained for almost 10 days straight! When the weather is like that it drains me like a leech. I don't  mind the cold weather, I don't mind a day of rain but when its non-stop for days, I just can't handle it. Thursday, the rain finally stopped and Zach and I drove to work in what seemed to be a Mississippi blizzard. The roads were awful. We couldn't even see the lines on the interstate. We both made it to work safely, thankfully!!! A few hours of hard snow, Zach sent me this picture...
How Beautiful!!! This was taken from the Jackson Country Club. A winter wonderland in Mississippi!!!!

I kept checking my weather app and it kept saying that by noon the sun would be out. I just couldn't believe it! I was waiting on pins and needles! Well, by noon this is what I got to see....
THE SUN AND BLUE SKIES!!!!!!
By the time Zach and I got off work, the weather was in the low 50's and all that beautiful snow was gone.

Only in Mississippi does this happen!!!

Any who- back to KNOX!!!

*19 weeks
*Kox is the size of a heirloom tomato
(sometimes I don't think my app knows what fruit or veggie is bigger)
*Knox was weighing larger then he was suppose to at my 18 week check-up, so I guess he might be around 10oz this week.
*I was scheduled to teach 14 classes this week but thanks to the weather and the intern helping me out, I only had to teach 12!
*energy was better but still pretty low
(I think that had to do with the weather)
*sleep was pretty magical this week
(I ordered a pregnancy pillow... I love it and highly recommend it!!!)
*craving sweet potato fries, fruit, and milk
(very weird since I never drink milk, but I am trying to drink it more for the calcuim and it seems like I can't get enough of it now!)
*appetite is pretty much back, still working on eating left overs
*still sailing smoothly
*I have been able to feel Knox... it is still very subtle right now
*Knox's bedding came in.... here is a sneak peak....
I love it!!!

Zach and I registered at Babies R Us yesterday. Who knew that you could have so many different types of bottles, strollers, pack-n-plays, monitors and so on! Thankfully, we had a little help from some experts... Em and Britt! They were so good... they gave us suggestions and what to look for on certain things but still let us pick out what we wanted.

I can't believe we are almost half way there!!!!

Knox Aden

Oh where, oh where do I even begin?!?!?!?

First thing is...

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

Next this is his name is....

KNOX ADEN ROUNSAVILLE!

Zach and I are so thankful for all of our family and friends who came to our revealing party. We had somewhere around 24 people! Knox is one loved boy already! I do believe that it is safe to say that our party turned out amazing! There was absolutely no way that I could have done this on our own. We were not afraid to ask for outside help to make Knox's revealing party a success.

We got Campbell's Bakery in Fondern  to make our cake. How stinkin' cute is this cake?!?
My sister and I probably could have made a cake ourselves and made it work but since Campbell's Bakery offers gluten-free cakes I decided to pay them to do it. Zach and I think it was well worth the money and calories! Zach described it as an oreo-fudge cake. It was so moist and chocolatey!!

Zach and I had a beautiful candy bar at our wedding. I knew immediately that I wanted to do a smaller version of our candy bar at Knox's party. I started shopping as soon as we had the date set for our party. My sister, Emilee, decorated the Hershey's bars. There were sixlets, Hershey's Kisses, Hershey's Bars, candy sticks, Laffy Taffys, Sour Punch Straws, suckers and gumballs!

Zach and I loved every second of the party!

I loved the pinata!!!!

So thankful for my wonderful parents! I was on the phone with them on their way home and was thanking them for all their help. Here is on the conversation went down...
"Mom, thank you so much for all your help and getting all the food ready.
Shorty, thank you so much for holding down the recliner and watching Nemo!"
My perfect family! I just love them so much!!!

My wonderful husband and his family! I can't wait to show you what they did while I was setting up for the party!!!

My grandparents! They will never know how much they mean to me! My grandfather had rotator cuff surgery on Tuesday of this past week. What a trooper! My cousin and aunt (who for some reason I didn't get a pic of) brought our grandparents down from Oxford so they could enjoy the party too! So thankful for Maegan and Aunt Vikki!!!!

Katie!!! We should have taken a pic holding our "bellies!" Maybe we will get more natural at that!

Everyone's guess. Boy won by just a few.

Back to the pinata... I definitely got my money's worth on this sucker! It was so challenging to get open. We let the 3 little ones give it a try first and it didn't even budge. A few of the adults gave it a try and is was still a no go.

Finally one piece of candy came out and then we just ripped the sucker open!

All the blue!!!!!

We revealed the name on this monogrammed onesie that my sister whipped together on Friday. Yes, she knew! She was the only one. She told me what she was having as soon as she found out and I had to keep it a secret until her reveal party. She is my best friend after all! Of course I am telling my sister!!!
Sorry, Mom!

Brooklee! My #1 girl can stay my #1 girl! She was so funny. She would look at me and say "Mermie, baby Rounsaville (and yes, she says it better than most adults) is in your belly." This girl brings so much joy to my life. Can't wait for her to be a great big cousin to Knox.

Since I was at Em and Britt's getting everything ready, I decided to just get ready over there so I wouldn't have to rush home and then get back before everyone got there. While I was in the shower, my sneaky sister ran to her embroidery machine and monogrammed this blanket! I ordered Knox's baby bedding on Thursday and it has an elephant on it. She said she saw this blanket and had to get it. I love it!!!

My in-laws got Knox a crib for Christmas. I came home from the party and this was in the room! So thankful!!!! I can't wait for the bedding to get her now!

All in all, it was a very successful night! I know I had a wonderful time and I hope all the guests did too!

Thank you, Emilee and Britt, for allowing lots of people to enter your home to celebrate Knox. Also, thank y'all so much for all the work y'all did for the party!

Next on our to do list... register!!

go Katie (Eric&Avery) go

My friend Katie ran her 2nd half marathon yesterday.

The Blues Marathon to be exact.

Katie and I found out a couple of days/weeks apart that we were both pregnant and due in June!

Baby R- June 10th!
Baby Avery- June 14th!

Still so crazy to me that we are due only 4 days apart. Our babies get to come into this world with already having a buddy. We both find out what we are having within the next week.

When Katie told me she was pregnant and still planning on running the Blues Half Marathon, I thought she was slightly crazy. But then again this is the girl who had hip surgery on one hip and knee surgery on the opposite knee at the same time. Not only did she have both lower limbs cut open she was at our friend Corey's benefit heart walk that weekend!

To say the least, Katie is super strong

I ran outside to snap a picture of the family of three crossing the first mile marker!
Katie in the blue and her husband Eric in the red.
(My camera decided to act up while they were zooming by and I barely got this one picture. Sorry it isn't the best!)

Eric is such a supportive husband. He was not registered for the half or full marathon.

He just ran it to be by Katie's side.

If this were me and my supportive husband... first of all we wouldn't be running. We don't like running and I especially don't like running in hills... I am form the Delta after all. Zach would be supporting me through my heavy lifts or cheering me through a tough prowler push.

Totally different couples but still super supportive husbands!!!

Anyways... I am still taken back by Katie's strength to run 13.1 miles, 17 weeks pregnant on a very chilly morning!

You can read all about her experience over at walkersingrace.blogspot.com.

She, also, post weekly updates of her pregnancy. It's very neat seeing how different our pregnancies are going.

Congrats Katie, Eric and Avery on finishing the 2013 Blues Half Marathon!!!

Sweet Potato Biscuits

Check em' out!!!
Sweet Potato Biscuits!!!!

I got this recipe from my Paleo Indulgences cookbook. I let someone borrow the book and they brought to my attention how yummy this biscuits looked. I, naturally, gravitate to the sweets treats! I decided to give these suckers a try. They are so yummy that I want to share the recipe with you!

Sweet Potato Thyme Biscuits
(I forgot to buy thyme so I just left it out.)

Dry Ingredients:
3/4 cup (90g) almond flour
2 TBSP coconut flour, sifted
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder

Wet Ingredients:
1/2 cup (120g) cooked mashed sweet potato
2 TBSP coconut milk
2 TBSP raw honey
3 eggs
1/4 cup (60mL) coconut oil, melted
(wait on the coconut oil)

Add in:
1 tsp chopped thyme

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place dry ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk together.
3. Add the wet ingredients, except coconut oil, to the dry ingredients and stir with a spoon to combine.
4. Add the coconut oil and thyme and stir until combined.
5. Let the batter sit 5 minutes to thicken.
6. Use an ice cream scoop and place 6 mounds of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until browned and firm to the touch.
7. Place the biscuits on a cooling rack until they are cool. Store in airtight container up to 2 days or freeze up to 3 months.

I, of course, doubled the batch! I knew they were going to be delicious. :)

Happy 2013!

I can't believe it is 2013! It seems like time is going by faster and faster.

I am in my 17th week of my pregnancy and am so excited that next week we get to find out if we are having a lil' man or a lil' girl!

Zach and I were pretty lame on New Years Eve. But we didn't mind it one bit. He cooked a fantastic dinner and we had a at home date night. On the menu was t-bone steak, asparagus, baked potato salad, sparkling grape/apple juice and chocolate covered strawberries.
It was absolutely delicious! Better than anything you could get in a restaurant.

Here is what's going on with Baby R.

*17 weeks
*baby Rounsaville is the size of an onion
*baby R. is only about 6 timy ounces
*only had to teach one spin class thanks to the holiday
*only had to teach one body sculpt class
*only had to teach one abs class
*energy is hit or miss... really depends on the sleep
*sleep is still hit or miss
*craving fruit, potatoes (mashed potatoes!), and chocolate covered strawberries
*appetite is pretty much non-existence right now... forcing myself to eat
*besides my appetite coming and going still have not had any sickness
SO THANKFUL!!!
*find out next week if we will be playing in the mud with tractors or dolls!

Zach and I... and with a lot of help from my sis... we have been planning the revealing party for our families. This came in the mail today and I just had to share it with you!
How cute is this question mark pinata?!?!?!?!?! I just love it and can't wait to fill it with pink or blue candy!!!

Happy New Years everyone!!! Hope 2013 is wonderful for you!
