35 Weeks!

*35 weeks
*Knox is the size of a honeydew melon.... I feel like I have swallowed 3 of these!!!
*my belly is steadily growing! I measured my belly first thing yesterday morning and by the end of the day it was up 1.5 inches. I know this is from eating and drinking lots of water but goodness gracious. I rub tons and tons of oil/lotion on my belly, trying my hardest to prevent stretch marks.
*I only worked out once this week. It's getting harder and harder to get motivated to do anything.
*Energy is still come and go. Some days I feel like all I have energy for is to do nothing while other days I feel like I can conquer the world... but this isn't very often.
*Sleep was great a few nights. Still waking up before my alarm, but I just make myself lay there until it goes off.
*craving banana and natural peanut butter still and honeydew melons, oranges, and strawberries... I could eat a whole bunch of bananas a day but I only limit myself to one!
*appetite is still good. It's amazing how uncomfortable I get after eating. Knox gets so crammed up in my rib cage most of the time after I eat. Sitting is almost unbearable.
*Braxton Hicks contractions have still been going on daily.
*I have read that the bigger he gets the less active he will be because of the lack of room. Well, this little man is a wiggle worm! There were a few days where his movements were so big that it was slightly uncomfortable. BUT... I would rather be uncomfortable than not feel him at all.
*Oh the "cankle"!!! I despise you! Zach can usually squeeze it out but I am SOOO paranoid about it!
*next appointment is May 14th. I should get a sonogram at this appointment. :)

Last Sunday, I got to help give Katie and Baby Avery a shower.
She got a ton of stuff for little Avery. He is one blessed little man.

My sister helped me make this super cute diaper cake. The shower was a nautical theme.
I made chocolate and yellow cupcakes. Too bad almost all of them were ruined by the time I got to the shower. All the icing had slid off! :( I was very sad about it. I wasn't able to eat them since they weren't gluten free but everyone said they were still delicious despite the looks of them.
Katie's sister in law made this super cute boat fruit bowl.
And that's all the pictures I got. I was writing down all the gifts for Katie so I was not able to take pictures like I normally would. I still can't believe that Katie and I are due only 4 days apart! Our pregnancies have been completely different so I will be interested to see which little man makes his appearance first. But all that matters is both of our guys are healthy!!!

babymoon

Zach and I went on a little trip last weekend to the MS Coast. I kept calling this trip our "Babymoon." Zach totally thought I made this word up. I had to confirm that I didn't by good ole Google.

Babymoon- a vacation you take with your spouse before your bundle of joy arrives.

So there, I did not make the word up!

We headed to Biloxi on Thursday after we got off work. The weather was beautiful. We changed clothes and headed to supper.
Then we were very lame and went to bed! Oh the life we live!

We got up on Friday morning and headed down to the condo gym got our workout on and went back to the condo for some grub. We have always gone to the Beau Rivage for breakfast but we decided to switch it up and cook our on breakfast and eat on the balcony. Way better food (don't get me wrong the Beau is DE-LISH-OUS but there is just something about making your own food) and way better view!
Eggs, bacon, fruit and lots of H2O!!!

After breakfast we drove to Pass Christian so Zach could get some shooting in.
I was sitting behind him for the first two shots but Knox jumped so bad after the second one I had to go wait in the waiting room while Zach had all the fun. He did a good job and enjoyed every second of it!

After the shooting range, we went to Gulfport and ate lunch at The Shed. Delicious as always! With full bellies we head to the outlet mall and spent a few hours checking out all the baby stores... and Under Armour of course!
Zach found this little outfit and had to get it. So stinking cute!!

We went to Margaritaville for supper. Which, by the way, has a great gluten-free menu!

On Saturday we drove over to Louisiana and went to the Peacebaker. They are a dedicated gluten free bakery. Everything they bake is gluten free. So absolutely no cross contamination! We splurged and got several yummy treats including gluten free BEIGNETS!!! So yummy!

After the Peacebaker we drove to Folsom, Louisiana to check out the Global Wildlife Center. If you haven't head of this place, Google it!! You ride in wagons around the beautiful place feeding some gorgeous animals.
I just love this picture I got of Zach feeding a Zebra. Too funny.

Me and Zach waiting for our tour.
I can't remember what this animal is but if you don't hold on to your cups tight enough they steal them.
The Zebras were just absolutely beautiful!
I don't know what this little animal is called (they had someone telling us during the tour but I was too busy feeding the animals and taking pics to be paying attention!) but I just love his spiral antlers.
 Zach feeding the animals.
 My turn!
They had giraffes, bison, camels and so much more. The giraffes were to far way and the tractor pulling the wagons we were in couldn't get close to them. BOO!

It was a great trip and I am so thankful we were able to go. We almost talked ourselves out of driving over to Louisiana but I am glad we didn't!

5 MORE WEEKS UNTIL KNOX IS HERE!!!! =)

34 weeks!!

Zach has been begging me to park in the "Expectant Mother" parking spaces at Kroger. I would always refuse. I am perfectly capable of walking from the back of the parking lot to the entrance of the store. Well, yesterday we made an early run to Wal-Mart (this is a once in a blue moon run... we shop at Wal-Mart maybe once every 2-3 months or so). The parking lot was very empty due to the time of day so since I would be parking up close anyways I decided to shock Zach and whip into the "Expectant Mothers" parking. Of course, we had to take a pic. Sorry for the awful pic. No make up and looking very terrible!

*34 weeks
*3rd Trimester!
*Knox is the size of a cantaloupe.
*my belly is steadily growing! I feel like I have doubled in size over the past week.
*I was extremely lazy this week. The only physical activity I did was walk the dogs on Monday.
*energy has been low... and I mean extremely low! I took two naps one afternoon and still slept through the night.
*Sleep was great a few nights and then a few nights it wasn't anywhere to be found.
*craving banana and natural peanut butter still.
*appetite is still good. feeling like a very large stuffed turkey when I get done eating!
*Braxton Hicks contractions have still been going on daily. Some days more than others but still not enough to worry about.
*Knox's 34 week check up went great! His heart rate was in the 140's and my belly measured right on track!
*My "cankle" returned twice this week. Makes me very sad and a little anxious. I don't like any swelling. Once I notice it, I get very paranoid and all I want to do is get home and prop my feet up.
*Knox has still been very active.
*next appointment is May 14th. I should get a sonogram at this appointment. :)

32 Weeks! / Big Creek Shower

*32 weeks
*3rd Trimester!
*Knox is the size of a jicama... Zach and I actually just bought one of these the week before. I had no clue what it was. But it was pretty good!
*my belly is steadily growing!
*taught 6 classes this week but only participated in 1. they have taken half of my classes off my plate. which I appreciate so much! the last month (since the hailstorm) has been very tiring. so much has been going on. getting things straightened out with insurance/baby showers/writing thank you cards/getting up at 3am everyday... it was getting the best of me.
*I did mow 75% of the yard on Wednesday. I probably could have finished it but I was listening to my body and made myself stop and let Zach finish it.
*SI joints are still giving me fits but I just deal with it as much as I can... the P.T. department downstairs is really great about helping me out whenever I need them to relieve the pain. but I try to live it with for as long as I can before I bother them.
*energy has been low.
*sleep is good for the most part... I fall asleep very quickly and the sleep is very deep but then several hours before my alarm clock goes off I am partially awake and just laying there tossing and turning.
*craving banana covered with natural peanut butter, fruit, and chocolate. if this is the worst I can do, I think I am doing pretty good!
*appetite is still good. feeling like a very large stuffed turkey when I get done eating!
*I have been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. some days it seems like I have a lot (when I am more active).  the doctor said as long as I don't have 4 in a hour everything is okay.
*Knox has still been very active.
*He has also found my rib cage.... not to comfy!
*next appointment is April 30th.

Knox was showered again last Saturday! Zach and I drove up to Big Creek, MS (Zach's parents home) for our last shower. I must say.... it was a great turn out!

The cake was so cute. It was not gluten-free so Zach and I did not eat any of it but from what everyone told us, it was delicious. It matched the plates and napkins.
I was so excited to see this girl there! She helped me open all of Knox's gifts and I couldn't have done it without her!
Me, Zach and my wonderful mom aka "Nana-Darlin".
It meant so much to me that my sister, Brooklee and mom drove all the way to Big Creek!
Me, Zach, his wonderful mom aka "Mimi," his brother Casey and sister Corie.
Zach's sweet grandmother, Sa.
 Zach's grandmother, Ann.
My grandparents made the trip too!
Zach, Molly (his grandmother) and me.
Knox loaded up... again!
Who knew a tiny little baby requires so much!

All I know is, we are so incredibly thankful for all the wonderful things. All of Knox's showers have been amazing and there aren't really any words to describe how Zach and I feel. Baby items are expensive and we wouldn't have been able to get all of this on our own.

We are done with baby showers and now all we are waiting for is our sweet little man!!!

Here are a few of the maternity pics she took....

She did a pretty awesome job! Zach was not prepared for picture taking time so there are not many of him.

I can't believe we only have 9 more weeks!

Baby Shower 4/6/13

Knox had another shower this past weekend. It was absolutely amazing! So many family members and friends showed up to give Knox lots of love!

This was the 3rd shower we have had and we still have one more to go.

The shower was at my sister's house and the hostesses really outdid themselves. They were so kind and really tried to make there be as much gluten free options as possible. Yes, there were "glutenous" items but for the most part the shower was 90% gluten free. I really can't explain how much I appreciate this! Deciding to go gluten free 16 or so months ago has probably been one of the best nutrition decisions I have made! They got a delicious gluten free cake from Campbell's Bakery in Fondren. Campbell's decorated it to match the invitation. It was so incredibly good and I was looking forward to eating some all week long!
My sister did an awesome job at the decorations. Super cute gowns hanging from the fireplace and books were all over the place.
She had a book at the front door for everyone to sign has they entered. It was so much fun reading back through all the comments the next morning!
She, also, made the hospital door hanger.
I love it!!!!
Me, Brooklee and Em! I love these two girls!
Brooklee help me open every gift. She was such a good helper! She is going to be the best big cousin ever!
Me and Knox with Katie and Avery!
Neeley, Chastity, and Savannah!
Phi Mu Sisters!
So, I got home and went back through everything. I like to display it and check everything out! I think we need to build an add on!
I was so excited to see the car seat and stroller! We have the car seat in the car already. So ready to put a little boy in it and bring him home!
My mom got Brooklee her first Bible. It was pink and perfect for a little girl. I was thrilled to see this at the shower! Absolutely love it! I love seeing his name monogrammed on things!
My parents have been collecting diapers ever since we told them we were pregnant at 7 weeks. We have a nice little stock pile going on!
I received this beautiful Kate Spade diaper bag from a great friend! I am going to be one stylin' mom! ;)
We got 3 more "workout" outfits to add to Knox's collection. Our friends and family know us well!
Knox also received his first medicine ball, kettlebell and barbell! So cute! I giggle every time I see them. I can't wait for him to play with them!
All in all, Knox got a ton of great things! Clothes, diapers, swing, bath tub, exercise bouncer, sleeper, oh this list could go on and on! Words really can not express how thankful Zach and I are! We are so excited for our little man to get here (after 9 weeks of course) and receiving all of these wonderful gifts makes us even more ready!

Thanks to everyone who came and showered Knox. He is so loved!!!
